Suellen May Lamb, a native of Iowa City, IA and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at the age of 69. Suellen was a retired school teacher. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church at 10:30am on Saturday, March 29, 2014. Survived by her husband of 32 years, Donald James Lamb; daughters, Jill (Dwayne) Wilkins and Nicole Reinhardt; sons Rick (Nina) Lappin and Scott (Aimee) Lamb; grandchildren, Ashley, Justin, Sydney, Franklin, Dante', Zoe, and Bella; brother, James (Linda) May; nephews, Christian and Judah; niece, Shirah (Keita) Minagawa; great nephew, Naoki. Preceded in death by her parents, Ellen Gaffney May and John May; and nephew, Colin May. Suellen graduated from Benedictine High School, received a B.A. and M.A. from Michigan State University, was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma International Society of Outstanding Women Educators, Louisiana and Michigan Poets Society and the Upper Peninsula Publishers and Authors Association. She was a published author, member of the National Science Foundation, a grant writer, artist, reader, member of the St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and along with her husband, a world traveler. Dear Jim,
We are so sorry for the loss of your sister. We know how close you were to her and how much you'll miss her. You were blessed to have had such a special relationship and to have so many wonderful memories to cherish. Deepest condolences to the Lamb family. This sweet lady will be missed at St. Paul the Apostle and the Adult Education Program. Such services to the Eden Park area will be sorely missed. May Suellen's soul rest in eternal peace...
