Richard, a native and resident of Baton Rouge passed away Monday, February 10, 2014 at age 60. He is survived by his cherished children: son, Jason Arbour and his wife Jessica; daughter, Ashley Arbour; former wife and mother of his children, Ann Geter Arbour; brothers, Ernie and Paul Arbour; sister, Sue Minner, and husband Lee; and numerous nieces and nephews as well as many cherished friends and co-workers. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Doris Arbour and an older brother Tommy. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Richard worked as a control room operator for Kaiser-LaRoche for nearly thirty years and most recently loved his job at Salsbury Dodge over the last 3 years. Richard lived life to the fullest and will be missed dearly by family and friends. He also coached his son and daughter in numerous sporting events throughout the years. Richard loved to cook, fish, dance, and watch LSU sports. Most of all he never met a stranger, loved to make people laugh, was the life of the party and it is for these traits that he will be remembered. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street, Thursday, February 13, 2013, from 5:00 pm until memorial services at 7:00 pm. An online guest register is available at www.rabenhorst.com.
