Carpenter, Jeff L.  
Jeff was a devoted and loving father, grandfather, brother and friend to all, he passed away peacefully on Friday, August 19, 2016 surrounded by his family at the age of 83. He retired from Dow Chemical; was a resident of Walker and a native of Brusly, La. He was a US Marine Veteran who served in the Korean War. Visiting will be at Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen on Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 10:30am until religious services at 11:30am. Interment will follow at Port Hudson National Cemetery, Zachary, La. He is survived by his daughter, Victoria Carpenter and Mike Grimmer; sons, Jeffrey Carpenter and wife Terry, Tim Carpenter and wife Barbara, and Christopher "Kip" Carpenter; their mother, Charlotte Vosion; grandchildren, Travis and Christy Carrier, Kye Sheets, Nikki and Joshua Carpenter, Brian Carpenter, Amanda Folmer and husband Dillon, and Missy White and husband Don; great grandchildren, Eion and Kaleb Carrier and Carlee Bell Folmer; sisters, Ella Lloyd, Shari Peter, Dot Barker, and Gloria Smith; brothers, Dewey, Jr., and Jerry Carpenter; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Katie Thomas Carpenter; sister, Pee Wee Mendel; and brother, J.D. Carpenter. Causey, Lillie Beatrice Kirkwood  
"In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame." Psalm 71:1. Lillie Beatrice Kirkwood Causey, died on Friday, August 19, 2016. She was 87 years old, a resident of Denham Springs and a native of Zachary. She was the first Kindergarten teacher in Baton Rouge and was the former owner of Causey's Childcare Center in Baton Rouge. She is survived by her children, Daryl Causey, Sr and wife, Kathy and Carol Ann (Cannon) Kyes and husband, Wedge, Jr. 4 grandchildren, Daryl, Jr. and Zachary Causey and Daryl Thomas "Tommy" and Geoffrey Cannon. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Ira Lester Causey, her parents, Arthur and Jennie Kirkwood, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Pallbearers will be Pat Causey, Ira Jean Causey, Carl Causey, Gary Causey, Norman Latimer and Jimmy Moulder. Honorary pallbearers will be Daryl, Jr. and Zachary Causey and Tommy and Geoffrey Cannon. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Denham Springs. Special thanks to Ollie Steele Burden Manor and Hospice of Baton Rouge for all the care and compassion given to our mother. Collins, Vessie Davis  
Vessie Davis Collins, a native of Clinton and resident of Zachary departed this life peacefully at her home on Friday, Aug 12, 2016. She was 94. Visitation will be Friday, Aug 26, 2016 at Camphor Memorial United Methodist Church from 1:00 pm until a memorial at 6:00 pm. Religious services will be Sat, Aug 27 at Camphor Memorial United Methodist Church with a visitation from 8am until religious service at 11am. Interment will be in Southern Memorial Gardens. She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter Fredessa A. Collins, Zachary, La. Ten grandchildren, (1 special granddaughter, Nedra Lynn Collins.) A host of relatives and friends. She leaves behind a loving husband, Oscar Collins; two daughters Tiffany and Courtney Thomas; three sisters Barbara Thomas, Audrey James, Debra Johnson and two brothers Joseph Thomas and Melvin Thomas all of Baton Rouge. Barbara Gail (Davis) Corcoran, died peacefully at home surrounded by her children on Wednesday, August 17, 2016. Visitation will be Monday, August 22, 2016 at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 from 9:00 am until service time at 11:00 am conducted by Rev. She is survived by her three daughters, Billie Jane Dykes and husband Mark, Elizabeth (Liz) Aaron and husband Jason and Amy Manuel and husband Charles, two sons, Tim Corcoran and wife Jennifer and Roy Corcoran and wife Lacy, sisters, Dora Kirkwood, Delores McKey and husband Fred, Annette Poole and husband Bob, grandchildren, Caleb Aaron and wife Kaylan, James Elliott Aaron, Lawrence Manuel, Garrett Manuel, Hugh Corcoran, Dalton Corcoran, Kay Gail Corcoran, Elliott Corcoran, Nathan Corcoran, Michael Dykes and wife Spenser, Meghan Dykes and expected grandson, Jesse Josiah Corcoran. She is also survived by three great grandchildren, Flavia Aaron, Mikey Dykes and Katherine Dykes. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, R. Elliott Corcoran, parents, Ike (Buck) and Wilma Davis and brother, Johnny Davis. Pallbearers will be Caleb Aaron, Clifton Schwartz, Tom Schartz, Michael Dykes, Ashby Schwartz and Don McKey. Arthur R. "Pete" Casebonne, Jr., 90, was born on May 18, 1926 and passed away on August 18, 2016. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Napoleonville, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 22, 2016 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Napoleonville, LA from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am at the church followed by burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lois Arboneaux Casebonne; daughter, Lisa Kraemer and husband Sam; sons, Lynn Casebonne and wife Darlene, Bryan Casebonne and wife Tracy, Dale Casebonne and wife Janel; brother Louis Casebonne; 7 grandchildren, Chase, Kerry and wife Dru, Brittany, Ashley, Elizabeth, Olivia, and Allie; and great-granddaughter, Adalyn. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mabel Casebonne and father, Arthur R. Casebonne, Sr.; sister, Dolores McElveen. He served in the United States Navy during World War II in the Asiatic Pacific Campaign aboard the USS Logan (APA 196). He was a member of the American Legion Post 88 as well as a lifetime member of the Napoleonville Volunteer Fire Department. The family would like to thank his special care givers at St. Joseph Hospice, including all extended family members and friends who supported the family during his illness. Ann Labat Chauvin was born in Vacherie, LA on September 19, 1919. She was a native of Convent, LA and a resident of Baton Rouge for the last 24 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence J. (Tut) Chauvin; parents Dasise J. Labat and Angelle Oubre Labat and 4 brothers. She is survived by her 3 children: Carolyn (Warren) Richard of Marrero, LA, Jerry (Anna) Chauvin of Prairieville, LA, and Brenda (Mark) Gremillion of Baton Rouge, LA; 6 grandchildren: Warren Richard, Jr., Cindy Distefano, Melissa Sullivan, Chad Chauvin, Todd Chauvin, and Steven Gremillion as well as 5 great-grandchildren: Ellis Distefano, Jane Marie Sullivan, Caleb Chauvin, Amelia Chauvin, and Preston Chauvin. She is also survived by her sisters, Rose Mae Schexnayder, and Una Dugas both of Convent, LA. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Landmark for their loving care and concern.
