Funeral services for Douglas Wayne Barron, Sr., 72, longtime resident of Baker, LA and native of Ashland, LA will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home Chapel, Coushatta, LA with Bro. David Bolyer officiating. Masonic services will be held immediately following services in the chapel. Interment will follow in Ramah Cemetery, Ashland, LA. Visitation will be held from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Friday, September 6, 2013 at the funeral home. Mr. Barron was born August 1, 1941 in Shreveport, LA and passed away September 3, 2013. Mr. Barron was a member of the Ashland Lodge No. 196 F. & A. M. and was retired from State of Louisiana Department of Revenue as a tax auditor. He was preceded in death by his parents, "Son" and Epsie Barron and uncle, Alvin Pullig. Mr. Barron is survived by one son, Douglas Barron, Jr. and wife, Stacy of Baton Rouge, LA; one daughter, Melissa McKey of Baton Rouge, LA; one grandson, Cale McKey; four granddaughters, Casey McKey, Madeline Barron, Emily Barron, and Olivia Barron; one brother, Donald Barron and wife, Mary Lou of Arlington, TX; and one niece, Kelli Barron. Pallbearers will be Donald Barron, Brooks Powell, Jay Cambre, Emmett McKey, Douglas Barron Jr. and Cale McKey.
