Harley Von Simmons

A devoted husband, loving father and grandfather he passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013. He was 77 and a resident of Maurepas. He was a retired instrument technician and served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force. He was an Atomic Veteran. Visiting will be at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Whitehall on Friday, July 26, from 9 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Burial to follow in Whitehall Community Cemetery. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Esperanza "Hope" Simmons; daughter, Margie Williams; sons, Richard Simmons and wife, Agnes and Don Simmons and wife, Christine; twin sister, Margie Allen; eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, JK and Velma Simmons. Harley was an avid HAM Radio operator, call sign KA5GEM, and enjoyed tinkering with computers.
