Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 20, 2014 at a 3:00 PM Catholic Service in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette, for Jimmy Lee Trahan, age, 61, who died on Friday, January 17, 2014 at 4:18 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Reverend Brian Taylor, Pastor of St. Genevieve Catholic Church, will conduct the funeral services. Survivors include two sisters, Patsy Nelson and her husband, Richard and Anna Suire and her husband, David; nieces and nephews, Stephanie Duhon and her husband Dustin, Natalie Duhon and her husband Derek, Mollie DeMoor, Jacob Suire and Jordan Suire and one great niece, Nicole Duhon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Paul Trahan and the former, Agnes Roy. Mr. Trahan was born on January 17, 1953 in Lafayette, Louisiana. He was a veteran of military service and proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. Mr. Trahan loved gardening, watching movies and listening to music. He will be missed by his family and friends. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN location on Monday, January 20, 2014 from 9:00 AM until time of service.
