Funeral services will be conducted for Kyle M. Myers, 56, on Friday, May 30, 2014, at 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Jody Simoneaux and Father Mark Derise officiating. Burial will be in Beau Pre Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 29, 2014, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and resume on Friday, May 30, 2014, at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Thursday at 6:00 PM by the Knights of Columbus Council 1425 of Jeanerette. A native of Jeanerette and a resident of Tioga, Mr. Myers died on Sunday, May 25, 2014, at his residence. He was a self employed CWI Welding Inspector in the oil field industry. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. He was the owner of Smile Farms in Tioga where he raised cattle and horses. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 9753. He loved spending time with Lain riding the buggy to check on cows or going to see if there was a waterfall at the pond on the farm. Poppa always asked Lain "who you love?" and Lain's response was Poppa. He also enjoyed cheering on the LSU Tigers and spending time with his family and friends. He was a big, kind hearted man who helped anyone in need. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Landry Myers; his daughter, Kyleen M. Thompson and her husband Ronnie; his grandson, Lain Thompson all of Tioga, his sister, Shawn M. Aucoin and her husband Harold of New Iberia, numerous godchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maxime and Jacqlyn Domingue Myers; his son, Scott G. Myers and his brothers, Craig and Scott Myers. Pallbearers will be Micheal Landry, Troy Myers, Lawrence Broussard, Jr., George Stevens, Micah Domingue and Harold Aucoin. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Thompson, Daniel Hebert, Sr., Zachary Aucoin, Lain Thompson, Kirk Domingue, Malcolm Landry, James Meaux, Michael Gardner, Dennis Turner, Clyde Cedars, Landon Myers, Max Myers and members of the Knights of Columbus Council 9753. My heart was saddened to learn of this. My prayers and thoughts are Lisa and the family. I met Kyle, through my job @ Rapides Regional. Kyle was a very kind soul who loved his wife and his grandson with all his heart. He will be missed. Louise McPherson.
