Theresa James Sibley Yardas, age 58, a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Vacherie for the past 10 years, died Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Sanctuary Passages Hospice in New Orleans, LA. She is survived by her husband, Vince Yardas of Vacherie; a son, Adam Lenard Sibley and his wife Lauren of Hattiesburg, MS; two daughters, Kirsten Sibley Behler and her husband Dino of Carriere, MS and Sarah Sibley Lore and her husband Ryan of Slidell; two step-daughters, Anjelica Patten and her husband Aaron of Billings, MT and Jennifer Yardas of Sheridan, WY; eight grandchildren, Danielle Behler of Metairie, William Dino Behler, Jr., Bryce Hilton Behler, and Brendyn Dominic Behler, all from Carriere, Mia Ryan Lore and Olivia Rae Lore from Slidell, and Logan and Mason Patten of Billings, MT; two brothers, Robert James and his wife Lisa and Steve James and his wife Carol, her sister, Carol Wasmuth and her husband, Kent and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby James and Mary Satterfield and her sister, Juliette James. Theresa worked for NuStar Energy as an operations analyst since 2007. She was heavily involved in volunteer work and was awarded the Volunteer of the Year award in 2012 for NuStar Energy. She was active with Relay For Life and the Council of Aging in St. James Parish. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at the First United Methodist Church, 244 W. Constitution Ave., Gonzales, LA on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 10:00 AM immediately followed by inurnment. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Susan G. Komen, www.komen.org, The Council of Aging of St. James Parish, P. O. Box 87, Convent, LA 70723, or the First United Methodist Church, Ministry Division, 244 W. Constitution Ave., Gonzales, LA 70737.
