Ruby Mae McKee, 97, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014 at her home in Greensburg, LA. She retired from First National Bank of Jefferson Parish where she worked her way up from bookkeeper, teller, loan officer, branch manager to an assistant Vice-President. Over the years, she volunteered for 10 years at a nursing home, and was past President of West Side Business Women Association of Jefferson Parish. She also held the position of church treasurer at First Baptist Church, Gretna, Past President of Montpelier Pine Garden Club, as well as involved in various other organizations. She was survived by her daughter, Viola Manning Kelly and husband, Donald Earl Kelly; grandson, Nathan James Ripp; and great-granddaughter, Chloe Cecile Ripp. She was preceded in death by her spouses, Durwood Manning and Leon Jefferson McKee; parents, Jesse Eugene Wells and Lorena "Lora" Brecheen Wells; siblings, Willie Wall Wells, Charles Christopher Wells, Henry Eugene Wells, Daisy Lorena Wells, Eleanor Louise Wells, John Wilford Wells, Lennie Marie Wells; as well as many friends and other relatives.
