Louise Elizabeth Baker Dougherty peacefully released her soul into the loving arms of God on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 2:10 a.m. at her home in Baker with her cherished husband of 41 years at her side, Emerson (E.W.) She loved life and her spirit will be missed but today, the angels and her family, L.D. and Rosa Holland, best friend and sister, Florence Stallings and Myrtle Fisher and younger brother L.D. Aunt Louise, You've been gone for a year now and it still seems like yesterday. I miss you so much. There were so many times in my life that you carried me through as did Aunt Myrtle and Uncle Buck. What a marvelous family to grow up in. I know that y'all are having a great time being together again. But, I also know how big a hole you have left down here. Uncle Em is a blessing to us as is Layne and his family. One day, you and momma and the rest of the family will welcome us into heaven and the arms of the Lord. I miss you!

I have thought of her often through the years and remember affectionately her influence on everyone around her. Take comfort in knowing she is wrapped in the arms of Jesus waiting for the day you are together again. WIth my heartfelt sympathy, Jan

Ms. Louise was a ray of sunshine every day in the hum drum world of motor vehicle. She was always willing to help whether it was a customer or another employee. She was missed so much when she retired. Every once in a while you still here somebody say "Do you remember Ms. Louise?" I am sorry for your loss. Take comfort in knowing she had a positive effect on many people's lives.

Ms. Louise taught her "girls" so many things, laughed and cried with us, shared her life and family with us for years. She was happy for us when we had good things happen, and she taught us so much about the Motor Vehicle, life and compassion. She would laugh when she knew I was in trouble, and defend me and anyone of us when we needed an ally. Her joy and smile were missed when she retired, and I know that her family will miss everything about her. I pray for your comfort, because there is no doubt she leaves many aching hearts.

Although our hearts are breaking, we know that you are always with us, watching over us and caring for us as you always did. Aunt Louise, thank you for being a beautiful role model and influence on my life. Uncle Em, you are loved and we will always be there for you. Layne and Brandi - spectacular job of caring for her - she loved you both so much. My thanks to all who ever loved her - which were many.
