Henry Myrile Chenevert, Jr., a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on July 13 at the Carpenter House. He was 90 years old and the former owner of Chenevert's Formal Wear. He graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and served in WWII. Henry is survived by his wife, Esther Ann McHardy Chenevert, and would have celebrated 65 years of marriage to her on August 20. He is also survived by daughters, Ellen Lee Chenevert and Denise Chenevert Phillips and her husband, Ivan; daughter-in-law, Barbara Kleinpeter Chenevert; grandchildren, Brian Aguillard and wife, Erin; Jennifer Parker and husband, Todd; Melanie Aguillard; Ryan Phillips and wife, Kristen; Benjamin Phillips; Hunter Chenevert and wife, Emily; Savannah Chenevert; and Rusty Sanders; great-grandchildren, Thomas and Anna Kathryn Parker; Michael, Joseph and Luke Henry Aguillard; Jackson and Aubrey Phillips; and Hudson Chenevert; and brother-in-law, Louis McHardy and wife, Jackie. He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Paul Chenevert; sister, Jackie McIntyre; sister-in-law, Margaret McHardy Pool; parents, Henry Myrile Chenevert, Sr. and Flossie Coulon Chenevert; and mother and father-in-law, Colin A. and Julia Z. McHardy. Visitation will take place at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 2250 Main Street, on Thursday, July 17 from 10 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon celebrated by Fr. Tom Ranzino. Interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. The family would like to thank those who cared for him, especially Penny Perkins and Darlene Halliburton.
