Funeral services for Mr. Wevis Small Jr. is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Faith Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 407 Duroq Street, Abbeville, LA. with burial in the Faith Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Bishop B. K. Stevens will officiate the service. Wevis Small Jr., a long time resident of Abbeville, LA, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2014, at Abbeville General Hospital. He leaves to mourn his passing his loving and devoted wife, Mary Walker Small of Abbeville, LA; six sons, Troy Walker, Wevis Jones Small, Allen Small (Erica), Felix Small (Shameka), Brian Buchanan, all of Abbeville, LA; and Kevin Small (Kristie) of Kaplan, LA; two daughters, Phyllis Forchion (Vincent) and Karen Small both of Abbeville, LA; three brothers, Arthur Small (Gayle) of Port Arthur, TX; Wevis James Small of Washington, D.C.; and James Narcisse of Abbeville, LA; six sisters, Mary Louise Small, Joyce Davenport, both of Abbeville, LA; Yvette Hewitt (Gary) of Sealy, TX; Latonia Small, Demetria Brown (Cornell), and Georgia Ray Small, all of Port Arthur, TX; twenty two grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by both parents, Mable Narcisse Small and Wevis Small Sr.; one sister, Betty Davenport; two daughters, Rosalyn Small and Heidi Small; two brothers, Donald Ray Small and Randall Small; and one grandson, Joshua Small. Visitation with family and friends will be at the church from 8:00 A.M. until time of service. Kinchen Funeral Home, Inc., 218 N.
