Funeral services will be held for Elaine Snyder Templeton at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2014, in the Wilson Memorial United Methodist Church in Lottie, LA. Pastor Heidi Spell and Pastor Roger Templeton will conduct the service. Burial will be held at Cottonwood Cemetery. Mrs. Templeton, age 85, a resident of Lottie, LA, died on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at the Tri-Community Nursing Home in Palmetto, LA. Elaine was a longtime member of the Wilson Memorial United Methodist Church in Lottie. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her. Survivors are her sons, Herman Templeton, Jr. and wife, Laura; Jay Templeton; Roger Templeton and wife, Pam; her daughter, Lillie Templeton Ardoin and husband, Daniel; her brother, Clarence Snyder; her sister, Mary Lois Snyder Kessinger and husband, Oscar and her sister-in-law, Vera Mae Snyder. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Lewis Templeton, Sr.; her parents, John and Clorine Zerangue Snyder; her brother, Erns Snyder, Sr.; her grandson, John Wyatt "J.J." Templeton and her sister-in-law, Leah Snyder. Visitation will be held at the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs on Thursday, July 31, 2014, from 3:00 p.m. (open all night) until service time on Friday. Pallbearers will be Herman Templeton, Jr., Jay Templeton, Daniel Ardoin, Warren Snyder, Oscar Kessinger and Chad Templeton. The family would like to send a special thanks to Louisiana Hospice & Palliative Care, Tri-Community Nursing Home and to her special nieces, Annie and Susie.
