A resident of Jefferson, he died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at Canon Hospice. He was 80 and a native of Grosse Tete. Visiting at St. Peter United Methodist Church, Maringouin, on Saturday, Feb. 9, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by Elder Dennis Hebert. Interment in church cemetery. Survived by his wife, Lucille Moore Dupree; sister, Lee Richard Lee; seven children, Donna Koy, Atlantic City, N.J., Kevin Dupree and Felton Dupree, both of Dayton, Ohio, Mary Webb and husband Jack, Shawn Dupree and wife Gwen, Keith Dupree, Grosse Tete, and Trina Gayles, Plaquemine; three stepchildren, Odell, Larry and Frank Abbott; grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, numerous other relatives and friends.
