"Butch" was a dedicated citizen who could always be depended on to point out the good and bad of most issues. He was a person I will always be proud to call "my fellow Kiwanian". Rest in peace "Butch".

My thoughts and prayers go out to Butch's family. I have known him for a long time and he was a wonderful person. I always enjoyed being around him whether we were playing tennis or just hanging out and talking. We always joked about the variations of peoples hugs - from weak to wonderful. Butch was dubbed the best hugger at Aurora Country Club because when he hugged you hello you knew he was glad to see you because he was able to convey such warmth through a simple hug. He will definitely be missed.

My sympathy to the family of Mr. Ohlmeyer. He was a customer of mine at the Gretna Post Office on 3rd St. He always asked if I ever hear from Tommy, the postal worker at this office before me. Always had such kind words to offer.

May he rest in peace.

I've only known Butch for the past 6 years, but I was always warmed by his big smile. He'd meet "the guys" and have popcorn ready for us on Sunday morning after tennis. He was so proud of his Navy plaque in the bar at Aurora and was equally proud to see this pic I had blown up to put in the bar just for him. He is one person I wished could live forever. I'm praying for his family. God bless you Butch!

Mr. Butch you were such a great man and friend. Whether at your home, China Doll or on your visits to Mom & Dad's in Arkansas we always had good times and plenty of laughs. You are with your beloved Miss Sybil now. You will always be a cherished friend.

Charlie was a great friend and neighbor. He was always showing me a better way to solve a Sudoku puzzle or reading me his latest letter to Mary. We'll miss his piano concerts and his coming through the gate for visits and especially hearing him say with a big smile on his face, I love my little gate. Angel will miss her special pats on the head from her Uncle Charlie when we'd meet up with him on afternoon walks. He was a gentleman and a scholar.

Butch was a great friend to so many of us. I know him from Kiwanis and his piano playing on Thursday morning was always a hit with the crowd. He never missed an opportunity to volunteer his time. His smile would light up the room and he would speak of his wife often to me and his childhood in Franklin. We both worked for Entergy and he would regale me with stories about the employees he worked with that by the time I worked there were the supervisors. He was fun, a great humanitarian in his quest to help the children through Kiwanis, always in a good mood and always up for Chinese food. He is truly one of the "good guys". We loved him and he will be missed.

Charlie was a person of many talents and accomplishments. To his list, I would quickly add that he was a good neighbor. I will miss his political commentaries, his garden products, his attentiveness to our neighborhood concerns. Maureen and I will miss his little visits and will always remember the smell of his barbecue in the Harvey air.
