Landry Jr., Percy Joseph Co-owner of Percy Landry and Sons with 47 years of service, he died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2006, at 6:05 a.m. in Belle Rose after a brief battle with cancer. He was 71, a resident of Belle Rose and a native of Donaldsonville. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville, on Thursday, Nov. 16, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Friday, Nov. 17, from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jules Catholic Church, Belle Rose, on Friday at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Jason Labbé. Entombment in the church mausoleum. Survived by his wife, Carol Traigle Landry of Belle Rose; father, Percy Landry Sr. of Belle Rose; three daughters and sons-in-law, Brigette Landry Landry and Danny of Belle Rose, Kay Landry Dugas and Jay of Pierre Part, and Becky Landry Dupont and Stephen of Brusly; son and daughter-in-law, Keith P. Landry and Robin of Belle Rose; brother and sister-in-law, Roland J. Landry and Charlotte of Belle Rose; stepsister and stepbrother-in-law, Marianne D. Freeman and Robert of Plaquemine; and nine grandchildren, Emily and Brett Landry, Jacob, Brandon and Jordon Landry, Erica and Mallory Dugas, and Tré and Taylor Dupont. Preceded in death by his mother, Flora Ohlmeyer Landry; and stepmother, Josie D. Landry. Pallbearers will be Keith, Brett, Roland, Jacob, Brandon and Jordon Landry and Tré and Taylor Dupont. He was an usher at St. Jules Catholic Church. He was an avid fisherman and former Sunshine Bass Club member. After retiring from the family business, Percy found himself enjoying employment with his alma mater, ACHS, for the past two years. He provided maintenance service to the three campuses and he looked forward to work each day. Donations may be made to ACIS Developmental Fund and St. Joseph Hospice of Baton Rouge. The family extends sincere appreciation to Dr. Michael Castine and staff, Metro Home Health, especially Robbie Acosta, St. Joseph Hospice, Acadian Medical Equipment and Supply and Father Jason Labbé and Father Matt Dupré.
