Cindy Logarbo Obituary

Mark 10:14 "Let the children come to me, do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God." Cindy Lou Logarbo, age 53, was born on December 14, 1959, and passed away on December 18, 2012. She was a native of Gramercy, LA and a resident of Hammond, LA. She is survived by two sisters: Debbie Gautreau-Dedon and husband Chris; and Vicki Rome and Ray Bourgeois; two brothers: Troy Logarbo and wife, Mona; and Rodney Logarbo and wife, Jill; 11 nieces and nephews: Chelsie Gautreau, Brad and Drew Dedon; Blake and Brooke Rome; Tyler Bourgeois; Jeanne and Brent Logarbo; Jordan, Christian, and Alexis Logarbo. She was preceded in death by her Father and Mother, Michael and Betty Achord Logarbo. Cindy was very active at Hammond State School in Hammond, LA. She participated in the Louisiana Special Olympics. She received many honors and awards; one being the Self Advocate Award in 2001 presented by the Advocacy Center. Cindy touched the hearts of everyone she came in contact with. Special thanks to Options, her personal caregivers, North Oaks Hospital and staff, North Oaks Hospice, and a very special thanks to Sister June Engelbrecht. Visitation will be on Friday, December 21, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Rose Lynn Funeral Home, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, LA. Visitation will resume on Saturday, December 22, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gramercy followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Paulina, LA.
