A resident of Clinton, he died December 30, 2012 at Our Lady of the Lake. He was 82 years old, a native of St. Helena Parish but raised in Kentwood. and was a retired carpenter with Local 1098. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Clinton from 9:00am until 12:00pm (noon) with memorial service at 11:00am, conducted by Rev. Mike Woodard. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janice Harrell. Children, Charles Harrell, Jr. "Chuck" and wife, Tammy, Bogue Chitto, MS; Teresa Harrell Dupuy and husband, Dana, Darwin Australia/Greers Ferry, Ark.; Ernest Phillip Harrell and wife, Gwen, St. Helena Parish; and Leslie Allen Harrell, Clinton. Sister, Christine Harrell, Clinton. Grandchildren, Jessica Harrell Alford and husband, A.J.; Rachel Kay Harrell, Aaron Wallace Harrell, Allen Dale Harrell and wife, Sandy and Stephanie Denise Harrell. Great Grandchildren, Alyssa Jade Alford, Jaden Mitchell Alford, Logan Harrell and Landon Harrell. Sisters in law, Audrey W. Harrell, Greensburg and Lil D. Hullinghorst, Brusly. Brothers in law, Johnny Payne and wife, Teresa, Haughton, LA and Preston Nash and wife Emily, Amite, LA. Numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Charles Harrell and Bettie Woodard Harrell, brothers, Clyde W. Harrell, Sr. and Wallace Ray Harrell, Sr., "Pete". grandson, Phillip Joseph Harrell and son in law, Steve Fountaine. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and he served in the Army during WWII.
