A resident of Denham Springs he departed this life Wednesday December 26, 2012, at home. He was 46 and a native of New Orleans. He worked in the East Baton Rouge parish school system and library. He was a graduate of O. P. Walker High School, Holy Cross College and LSU. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Baton Rouge. Preceded in death by his father, Norman L. Fleming, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Linda Fleming Perkins and husband James; two brothers, Mark Fleming (Roanna) and Kevin Fleming (Angela); a step sister, Claudia Perkins; five nieces, a nephew and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends. Visitation at Wesley United Methodist Church, 544 Government St., Baton Rouge from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday January 4, 2013. Visitation will resume at Greater St. Andrew Baptist Church, 7000 Earhart Blvd., New Orleans, from 9 a.m. Saturday January 5, 2013 until religious service at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Nathaniel Jackson, officiating. Interment in Providence Memorial Park, Metairie. Invited churches, Wesley United Methodist Church, Greater St. Andrew Baptist Church, King Solomon Baptist Church and True Vine Baptist Church and all friends. Arrangements entrusted to MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home, Denham Springs. (225) 665-8002.

I was saddened to hear that a fellow classmate passed away. Norman and I attended O Perry Walker High School together...he very very polite. Family of Norman you all have my deepest sympathy and know that he will be missed. The Fleming family will be kept in prayer.

My heart is broken. I am so sorry that I cannot be there for the funeral. Norman, I will miss you and love you for the rest of my life.
