January 23, 2013

Mr. Nash was such an inspiration to me throughout the many years I knew him. He always challenged me in my theology and encouraged me to continue seeking God! He loved my daughter Brandee and he always encouraged her to excel in life. As much as I will miss him here, I know that he and Mrs. Nash (one of my favorite teachers at Park Jr. High School)are finally together again. The last time I saw Mr. Nash and prayed with him, he was already preparing for his final destination. He talked about his life, family and how thankful he was to be able to see his children and grandchildren prosper. We laughed and of course, he had to say, "who taught you how to pray like that?" He was never a man who lacked words! Now family, as you begin to take a step into this next phase of life without Mr. Nash physically being here, please know that God is here to guide your every footstep. I can truly say from experience that If you trust God, every morning will be your best morning and every day will be your best day. On behalf of the entire Burns Family (Tabace, Brandee & Bryce), we love you all and we are here for as long as we need to be. "Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, honest, lovely, and be of good report; if there be any virtue and praise, think on these things." (phil 4:8) May the Grace of God be with you always.

I met Mr. Nash several years ago, when he was making a donation to a non profit organization where I work. I let him know that I had attended school where his beautiful bride had once worked, he then began to pull out his famiy picturs. He was very proud of his family and once you met him you felt like you knew him all your life. He let the Lord shine through him.

To The Nash Family: My condolences to you. I pray for the Holy Spirit to comfort you during this time. I met Brother Nash at Eternal Life Harvest Center just over 5 years ago. He really enjoyed hearing the word of God. My young daughter does not have a father in her life. He always took time to speak to her, give a hug & give out candy. He made her feel special. I enjoyed every conversation I ever had with Brother Nash. The light of God shined in his life. I thank God I was able to know Brother Nash. We love Brother Nash and will certainly miss him. May God Bless your Family!

Earl was one of a kind...a classic. He loved to take care of people. He showed me the ropes many years ago at the courthouse. He shared his wisdom, knowledge and kind heart with so many over the years that I had the pleasure of being his co-worker and friend. Never did I encounter him when he did not have a hug a smile and a kind word for me. A true gentleman and someone I am honored to call my friend. Love and strength to all he left behind~

Crossing the Bar

Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,

But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.

Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;

For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.
