Iggy and I were members of the same championship football team in the late 1940's at Riverside Military Academy at Gainesville Georgia.
He was an inspirational team leader, a great player and a good friend. We all held Iggy in great respect.

It seems that he led the good life he deserved after high school. I will miss Iggy.

Steve and Nash,
I was a teacher at DeLaSalle while you were there. I remember so many kindnesses from your father both personal and to the Cavaliers.

You have followed in your father's footsteps with similar kindnesses, especially to Archbishop Rummel High School. Such a father, such a son. What a great legacy of Christian kindness.

Christ will similarly be kind to your father and to you.

On behalf of the members of E.D. White council Knights of Columbus, I offer our sincere condolences to your family. Nash was a charter member of our council and was an inspiration to many over the years. He will be greatly missed. He invited me to make my first retreat to Manresa when I joined the council 15 years ago and I have been going back annually. I will miss the gatherings at his home before the retreat and the many stories he told on the ride to Manresa. I'm amazed that he was able to stay quiet for 3 days during the silent retreat!
Nash will be very qualified for his new job as heaven's bellringer.

I will miss you pawpaw. You were an inspiration to myself and many. As a kid running around the steak house, you taught me how to make a Shirley Temple, and as an adult, doing my best bartender impersonation at Barrecas, you taught me how to make the perfect Old Fashion. You were known and respected by many. You gave meaning to the name "Barreca". I love you, and miss you. Kiss Kaitlynn for all of us!

Mrs. Laura, I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Nash's passing. I have been apart of your daily lives for so many years that it will be so difficult to pass and not see that bright smile, the cheering wave, the hello or the quick story or two. Seeing you both together and the love you shared was such an inspiration. I only hope that my husband and I are blessed with many anniversarys and a wonderful family like you and Mr. Nash have shared. All my prayers with you and your family at this difficult time.

My sympathy to all of the family. Due to classes, I am not able to be with you for the funeral, but I will be with you all in prayer and spirit.
Besides knowing the family through teaching at De La Salle and esp. with "Nash" on the wrestling team, I have so many fond memories of your father's kindnesses to the faculty and staff of DLS, hosting so many dinners and end-of the year gatherings. He was always so generous and kind to us and served only the "best". All of you have great memories of a wonderful father and an upright Christian man who practiced his Faith so openly and lived what he believed.
I will miss seeing you all at the funeral but will be there in spirit.
With gratitude to a great man, I remain, your friend, Dr. Warren Caire
