Dudley Dennis Babin, 85, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. Dudley was a remarkable and loving Christian, husband, father and grandfather. He was a resident of Baton Rouge, LA and a native of White Castle, LA. Dudley was a veteran who proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanie Babin; sisters, Marion B. Anderson and Lorraine White; brothers, Patrick G. Babin and Clyde A. Babin; step-sons, Billy W. Mizell and Dewey L. Mizell and wife Sheila; step-daughters, Nelda F. Stanley and husband Bill and Jennie O. Schexnayder; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Audrey Boyd; beloved granddaughter, Lorie Brashier; first wife, Leila Babin; and step-son, Dave Mizell. A memorial service will be held at Jefferson Baptist Church, 9135 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA 70809 on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 10 am conducted by Dr. David Goza. I have not personally spoken to uncle Dudley in some time but I always asked mama how they were doing. I remember when he worked at Liggetts Drug store in downtown Baton Rouge . I was just a young chap. I have fond memories of him and I know he will be dearly missed. Your nephew Jackie
