Mildred Eugene Martin, a retired employee of the Jefferson Parish Courthouse, passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family on Friday, July 5, 2013. Loving wife of the late George Martin. Mother of Kenneth (Wanda) Martin, Sr., Lori Ann (Cedric) Martin, Jeanine (Julian) Lesseman, and the late Michael Anthony Martin. Beloved daughter of the late Frank Eugene, Jr. and Esther Jackson Eugene. Sister of Mary Eugene White and the late Morris and O'Neil Eugene, Dorothy Lagarde, Esther (Queen) Eugene, and Elsie (Alma) Boudreaux. Sister in law of Jerry and Ernestine Martin of Los Angeles, Ca., William Martin of West Hollywood, Ca. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 81 years. A native of Montegut, La. and a resident of Bridge City, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Salvation Baptist Church and neighboring churches, are invited to attend the funeral service at Second Salvation Baptist Church, 212 Marrero Ave., Bridge City, La. on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Dr. Charles Crawford, Sr. officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, La.
