A very special lady, Audrey Arnoult Roccaforte started her journey on December 5, 1912 and passed away peacefully, Saturday, September 7, 2013 at The Landmark of Baton Rouge. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Baton Rouge, she is survived by a daughter, Audrey Roccaforte Sanchez, husband Ernest, two sons, Jay Roccaforte, wife Sandra Flattmann, Gerald (Rocky) Roccaforte, wife Sally Theriot, five grandchildren, Michelle Chiasson Stone, Kim Roccaforte Wigley, Beth Roccaforte Metrailer, Joey Roccaforte, Annie Roccaforte Smith, and 10 great-grandchildren. Also survived by two sisters, Hazel A. Roy and Lois A. Bienvenue and a host of nieces and nephews. Proceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Joseph A. Roccaforte Sr., parents, Cora deVerges and Duncan J. Arnoult Sr, one brother and five sisters. After she retired, Audrey loved volunteering at The Closer Walk Ministries with Father Harold Cohen, S.J. Family and friends have been so blessed to have such a wonderful person in their lives for so many years. The family would like to thanks the nurses and staff at The Landmark of Baton Rouge for the love and care that they gave her and the staff of Hospice Life Source. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., Baton Rouge, LA. on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, from 5:00p.m. until 7:00p.m. Visitation at St. Benilde Catholic Church, 1901 Division St., Metairie, LA on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 9:30a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00a.m. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery, 5200 Canal Blvd. New Orleans, LA.
