Paul was a native of Winnsboro, LA and passed away at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans, LA on Thursday, September 19, 2013. Paul worked as an Industrial Salesman. Anyone who knew Paul can appreciate his love for golf and a great party. He was always joking, smiling and loved everyone. Paul will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him, but certainly never forgotten. Paul is survived by sons, Christopher Paul Copeland, Corey Michael Copeland and Casey Douglas Copeland; sisters, Diane Landry, Carol Maher and Janice Copeland; brothers, Tommy Copeland, Barney Copeland and Cecil Copeland; grandchildren: Christopher's children: Devin, Lauren, Olivia, Rylee and Madison; Corey's children: Caleb and Sydney; and Casey's children: Blair and Carter. Paul was preceded in death by his grandparents, Beatrice and Samuel Coates; his mother, Ruth L. Copeland; his father, Barney Hyram Copeland Sr. Visiting will be held at Niland's Funeral Home in New Roads, LA on Sunday, September 22, 2013 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM. Chris, Corey and Casey would like to extend their appreciation to their mother, Lana Ryland, during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in honor of Paul Copeland to the American Heart Association.

We will miss "heyyyy babyyy" from across the fairway! Paul's smile and laughter were contagious! We will all carry part of Paul in us everyday. What a great guy!

His smile, his laugh, his love of life.... I'll always remember. I know he and Mike O'neal Sr are probably sipping on crown, smoking cigars, and playing golf right about now. Both of them left their marks on many, and they will never be forgotten.
