A resident of St. Amant, born in New Orleans and grew up in Sorrento, she passed away at her home surrounded by family on Tuesday, November 5, 2013. She was 59. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother and spent her free time with her husband fishing at their camp. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Virgil Joseph Parent; three daughters, Brandy Parent Langlois and husband David, Heather Parent Gullet and husband Billy, and Cassie Parent Walker and husband, Clint; sister, Paula Letulle Lessard and husband, Clyde; brother, Joey Letulle and wife, Geneva Burns Letulle; and four grandchildren, Landon and Presley Langlois and Rhylee and Jase Walker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Sanford "Toony Boy" Letulle and Delores LeBlanc Letulle Aime; mother and father in law, Orillian "Brock" and Alice "CooCoo" Parent; and numerous aunts and uncles. Visiting will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 5 pm to 9 pm. Visiting will resume on Thursday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Entombment to follow in the church mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Jason Guidry, Russ Poche, David Langlois, Craig Himel, Edmond LeBlanc, Jared Moran, and Jade Letulle. The family would like to thank Dr. Staggs and his staff at Baton Rouge Oncology and Hematology and nurses and staff of St. Joseph's Hospice. Virgil and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I didn't see Cindy that often, but we always had a good visit when we saw each other (usually in the driveway). My prayers for your family.

Paula and all of Cindy's family, I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Cindy. She was one of the kindiest people you could ever meet, always a smile and kind word no matter where she seen you.
