He passed away on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at age 67. He was a native and resident of Baton Rouge. He was a graduate of Central High School. He was an Army veteran and a retired electrician. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, with visiting from 10 a.m., in Cornerstone Fellowship. Pastor Dick Metz will officiate. Survivors include his wife, Jeanie S. Valentine; daughter Mandy V. Louviere and spouse, David Louviere; son, Nicholas P. Valentine and spouse, Sissy Valentine; sister Marlene V. Venable; brother Leighton Valentine; and grandchildren, Michael L. Valentine, Lilah Louviere and Elias Louviere. He was preceded in death by Ernest and Idel Valentine (parents) Jennifer Lynn Valentine (daughter).

mAY THE GRANT YOU WITH HIS PEACE AS YOU GO THROUGH THIS SEASON OF LOSS. MIKE WAS A VERY SWEET MAN AND TRULY SHOWED HIS LOVE FOR HIS FAMILY. HE WILL BE MISSED BUT HIS MEMORY WILL BE KEPT ALIVE.
