Eunice Thompson Pavageau, a native of Ethel and resident of Baton Rouge passed away at 7:55 am on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. She was 77 and a retired EBRP public school teacher. Visiting at Carney and Mackey Funeral Home on Friday, March 21 from 1-5 p.m. Religious service at Jordan United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 22 at 11 am, conducted by Rev. Karl Clark. Interment in Southern Memorial Gardens. Arrangements with Carney and Mackey Funeral Home, (225) 774-0390.

My condolences to the family and friends of Madame Pavageau. She always had a positive attitude about her students and about the teaching profession itself. As a former ZHS teacher, I remember her as a lovely lady.

Please know that Ms. Pavageau was my HS French teacher and left her mark on me as a student. She will always be remembered fondly. My heart and prayers go out to her family at this time.

My condolences to her family. I remember her as Madame Pavageau. It may be a little rusty, but I could probably still recite the Lord's Prayer in French because of her class.

Ms Pavageau was a sweet & wonderful teacher. I had her for speech & French. She also sponsored the ZHS drama club & had the opportunity to participate in plays she directed. Great memories. Condolences to her family.

I will cherish the memories of the time I spent with Eunice as a tour guide at Magnolia Mound. She was full of great stories. We had fun and I was even able to learn some French from her. She had a great spirit. I will miss her.

I offer my sincere condolences in the loss of Mrs. Pavageau. She was my beloved drama teacher and French teacher at Zachary High from 1977-1979!
