A Memorial Service will be celebrated Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home for Daniel Richard Hughes, 54, who passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette. Visitation will be observed at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Reverend Weldon Moak, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Broussard will officiate. Daniel was born November 21, 1959 in Flint, Michigan. As a proud veteran, he served in the United States Army. Daniel had a love for travelling, dancing and music. He was a free spirited man with a kind and gentle personality. He is survived by two daughters, Tasha H. Wilson and husband Chance, and Tiffany Hughes and her fiancé John Girouard of Kaplan, LA; two sons, Daniel Patterson of Dallas, TX and Chris Hughes of Lafayette, LA; three brothers, one sister and ten grandchildren.
