Isla Watson Obituary

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14. Isla Elizabeth Watson, born on May 15, 2013 went home to be with her Lord, held by her loving mommy and daddy and surrounded by her wonderful family on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at her home. She was 10 months old and a resident of Walker. Isla enjoyed playing with her mommy's hair, riding the 4-wheeler with daddy, dancing with big sister Courtney, bath time with big sister Isabella, jumping in her jumper and being spoiled by her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Although she was with us for a short time her memory will live in our hearts forever. Isla leaves behind her loving and devoted parents, Jarrod Vaughn and Barbara Lynn Milton Watson; two sisters, Courtney Grace Watson and Isabella Claire Watson; grandparents, James "Jimmy" Watson and Vida Foster Watson, Larry Milton and Diane Sibley Milton; great-grandparents, Ella Fairchild Foster and Clara Page Watson. She was preceded in death by her brother, Cooper Roy Watson; great-grandparents, Roy and Georgia Sibley, Harry and Lena Milton, Clarence Foster and Roy Watson. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Walker Baptist Church on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Friday, April 11, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Dr. Richard Blue will officiate the services and interment will follow in Sibley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to umdf.org/cooperislawatson to help find a cure for this rare mitochondrial disease. Condolences and other information are available online at www.thompsoncares.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home.
