Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014, at a 1:00 PM Service in Martin & Castille's La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette, for Harold Lee Chaisson Jr., age 69, who died on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 3:28 PM at his residence in Lafayette. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. Brother Keith Guidry, (brother-in-law to Mr. Chaisson) will conduct the Funeral Service. Karen Broussard, organist, will sing for the service, "Go Rest High On That Mountain", "Amazing Grace", "How Great Thou Art", and "The Old Rugged Cross." Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Linda G. Chaisson; one son, Lanny Chaisson and his wife Bridget Chaisson; one daughter, Lisa Chaisson and her companion Angelic Forrestier; and two grandchildren, Laini Chaisson and Boyd Chaisson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Lee Chaisson Sr. and Lydia Angele Chaisson and two sisters, Del Chaisson and Electa Chaisson. A native of Lafayette, Louisiana, Mr. Chaisson was a veteran of military service and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. After serving our country, he then attended school for Engineering. Mr. Chaisson worked for Tools International and retired after 25 years to pursue his own company, Particle Cleaning Systems. He was known to many in the racing world as the engine GOD. He will be missed by many as he has touched the lives of all who knew him. Pallbearers will be Mace Maniscalco, Chad Reeves, Gerald Degeyter, Kyle Lacombe, Keith Guidry, Dereck Hebert, Jeremy Foco and Mike Benton. Honorary Pallbearers are Boyd Chaisson and Laini Chaisson. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SOUTHSIDE location on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM and on Friday from 9:00 AM until time of service.
