A native and resident of Baton Rouge passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014 at North Point. He was 68 and a musician. Musical held on Monday, June 30 from 5-8 p.m. Religious service at Second Baptist Church, Port Allen on Tuesday, July 1 at 11 am. He is survived by his wife, Marcia Holland; parents, David Sr. and Lucille Brumfield Holland; daughters, Latricia Franklin (Carenta), Jerrilynn Harris (LJ), Symitress Covington (Trendell), Natesia Parker (Marcus), Deantuanette Holland and Ericka Smith (Kenan); sons, Larry Johnson (Charmaine), Freddie Holland, Jr. (Denise) and Steven Scott; brothers, James, David and John Holland; and god children, Alicia Scott and Warren Payne. Services entrusted to Carney-Mackey Funeral Home, (225) 774-0390.

Words cannot explain how greatly I will miss my Uncle Freddie. I have so many family memories growning up even when you taught me how to cut grass. I will always love you and deeply miss you. To my family, I pray that God holds us in his mighty hands to comfort us through this time. I love you all!
