My condolences to the family! I knew Jeannette in the late 1950s when I was stationed in the Army near Verona, Italy, and she and Gino lived in the center of Verona. They had me over for several meals, and I always enjoyed their food and company. When Gino's brother was married in Sicily, I was invited, and spent two weeks in Mellili (sp?) a small town W. of Syracuse. At the time I spoke "good" Italian, and enjoyed the experience very much. Every few summers I visited Jeannette, in New Orleans, Broussard, and Lafayette. I will miss her, and she will be in my prayers.
