Mary Ebey Obituary

Mary Lena Gagliano Ebey left this world to be with the Lord at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, August 3rd, 2014. She entered this world a beautiful blue eyed baby girl on January 24th, 1942. Mary was an angel on earth, beautiful inside and out and will be missed by everyone who knew her. She loved her job working at the Clerk of Court for 33 years. She is survived by her loving fiance' Roger Taillon, her sons who were precious to her, Ricky Piper and Joseph Piper, her sweet little mother Agnes Noto Gagliano, her best friends and sisters Rosalie Piper and husband John, Dorothy Barcelona and Gloria Vidrine. Adoreable grandchildren Ricky Piper and wife Katelyn, Dustin Piper, Shawn Piper and Brandon Piper. One precious great grandchild Gracie Piper. Her two little dogs whom she loved dearly and called them her little girls and Casper her cockatoo. She had many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. She was preceeded in death by her husband Dave Ebey, father Lawrence Gagliano and brothers Larry Gagliano and Little Peter Gagliano. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street, Baton Rouge, Thursday, August 7, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume Friday August 8, 2014 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 445 Marquette Ave, Baton Rouge, LA 70806 9:00 a.m. until service time at 10:00 a.m. Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Philip Eapen. Interment will immediately follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Ricky Piper, Joseph Piper, Ricky Piper , Jr., Dustin Piper, Sean Piper and Brandon Piper. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Piper, Jr. and Louie Barcelona, Jr. "And He Himself has promised us this eternal life." 1 John 2:25.

What a sweet lady. She will be dearly missed. I worked with Miss Mary from 1997 until 1999 in Archives when I first started with the Clerk's Office. She was always smiling and would listen when you wanted to talk. What an Angel. She will be missed a lot. Love ya, Kathy Terrell

I loved Mary so much. She was like a mother to me.I still visited her after I left Archives. She will be dearly missed and my condolences to her whole family. I'm a little shocked. I wish I could make it.
