Ernest "Bubbie" James departed this life on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at 12:05 AM at his residence in St. Gabriel. He was a Truck and Bus driver for over 20 years, Visiting at Hambricks Family Mortuary, Gonzales, on Wednesday, August 20, 2014, from 5 pm to 7 pm, and on Thursday, August 21, 2014, at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church, Carville, from 10 am until religious service time 11 am conducted by Pastor Alfred Thomas, internment in church cemetery. He survived by two daughters, Kathleem James and Lakisha Johnson, Four grandchildren, Brandon James, Jordan Lizana, Tamara Andrews, and Allayah S. Henry. Three Great grandchildren, Three brothers in law, Five sisters in law, two devoted cousins, Claudia Fisher and Doris Mecle. An adopted grand daughter, Kayla York. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leontine C.
