My love goes out to all our family members. I loved this man with all my heart. I loved to sit with him and laugh about silly things. Every time I saw him I would think of my dear father, they looked so much alike. A huge hole has been left in all our lives. RIP sweet Uncle Oscar.

I loved this man with all my heart. He would let me sit on his lap and we would amuse each other with silly things. I am so glad I got to do just that last September at Aunt Ione's house. When I looked t him I saw my late father and my heart was filled with love for both of them. RIP sweet Uncle Oscar, thank you for always being there for me.

I just loved this man. He was so special. He was always so happy to see me and made me feel loved. I will always remember the night I missed curfew and he met us with a spotlight in driveway. It seems mom was out looking for me and he was on house watch. My heart just stopped but he took me in his arms and said how glad he was I was ok. Such a great uncle.

Ms. Joann and family, our hearts go out to you! Mr. Oscar was one of the first people my dad met when we moved to Walker 27 years ago. And what a wonderful friendship that blossomed from then on. Daddy admired him so and you all became family! Mr. Oscar and Ms. Joann have been so good to our family. Always cooking meals at a time of sickness, showing up at the hospital during surgeries and even planting an live oak in memory of Virgie in daddy's front yard. Y'all are true Christian examples of how we should all live our lives. Ms. Joann, we will keep you and the family in our prayers and will always remember Mr. Oscar and the wonderful man he was. And especially the friend he was to my dad. He is already, and will be so greatly missed by all that loved him. God Bless the Risher family. We love you!
