Alice was born January 31, 1914 and passed away on January 6, 2017. She was a native of Canton, Mississippi and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA. She is preceded in death by husband, Jerome M. Croak; step-son, Donald Croak; parents, Omer E. and Bessie B. Slack; 2 brothers, Clarence E. Slack and Norman E. Slack; and 3 sisters, Rita S. Lindsey, Margaret S. Gamotis, and Laura E. Slack. She is survived by sister, Martha S. Williams of Baton Rouge, LA; numerous nieces and nephews, 5 step-grandchildren for whom she had a very special love for, Thomas Croak of Colorado Springs, CO., Sue Christensen of Las Vegas, NV, James Croak (Tomoe Ito) of Sag Harbor, NY, Betsy Anderson (Michael) of Helena, MT, Kacey Claiborne (Philip) of Allen, TX; several step-great grandchildren; and step great great grandchildren. Visiting hour will be observed on Tuesday, January 10, 2016 from 12pm until a Graveside Service at 1pm at Greenoaks Memorial Park and Funeral Home.
