Not sure what to say?

Thank you Russ for your vision and love. Im still enjoying my Eat A Peach prize I won in 1975 at your Campbell, Ca store. Backstage passes to The Allman Brothers concert. Ill cherish it forever. Thinking about you on the 1 year anniversary of your passing. Thanks again Russ!

I never met Russ. Wish I did. Because of his vision, I was able to start a DJ business when I was 15 years old. I used to spend hours every week at Tower Records. Folks would chat about their favorite music, sometimes convincing others to buy it. It really was more a social event then a shopping event. I owe Russ my gratitude for making such a great environment. Recently I've been taking my son to Zia Records (because Tower no longer exists) and I've been able to show him the social...

You will always live in our hearts and prayers.

I would like to express my deepest condolences to the family for their loss. I will never forget Tower records, I loved music , so I stayed buying tapes, VHS, and cd's every week. I hope you find comfort and help in God during this time of sorrow.

A true rock star! May you soar with the angels.

It's never easy experiencing the death of a love one. The Bible provides us with an abundance of comfort at a time like this. In the book of Isaiah, chapter 41 verse 10 and 11, it reads, "do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will really help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness". Can you that? God caring about you so much that he is holding you.

You were just as big a part of my childhood as going to Sam's Town, going to Florin Mall, the State Theater, and going to Toys R Us pretty soon.... very sad all things must pass. And we love you for making our lives great Russ with Tower! You had so many great ideas and a mind or heart like yours is not one we will get back. Rest peacefully.

A GIANT in so many ways. I enjoyed Hank's documentary of him and was happy to see he was so successful in so many ways...........as a revolutionary businessman, as a man way ahead of his generation in outlook and action, as a parent, as an artist, etc.
His mother and my grandmother, Rose Michaels (Levitin) were best friends so I heard a lot about him as a boy from both Rose and his mother, Annette, who I had the pleasure of meeting several times. Apparently, the ladies traveled...

Sorry for everyone lost. May everyone look to God for peace and strength during this time of sorrow from 2 Thessalonians 2:16, 17. My sincere condolences!
