SILVA, DOROTHY TAYLOR A resident of Baton Rouge, she died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 83. She was the beloved wife of the late Harry B. Silva Jr.; mother of Terry J. Silva of Mobile, Ala., Donald P. Silva, Gary M. Silva and Wayne S. Silva, all of Metairie, Phil G. Silva of Starkville, Miss., and Cathy S. Melancon of Baton Rouge; sister of James Taylor of New Orleans, Celeste and her husband, Pete Taylor, of Hattiesburg, Miss., Katherine Stacy of Metairie and the late Henry, Edward, John Richard and Grace Taylor; mother-in-law of Suzanne and Susane Silva and Roy Melancon; and sister-in-law of Warren E. Silva. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation at Jefferson Chapel of Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd., at 43rd St., Metairie, from 10 a.m. until service. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral Mass at the Jefferson Chapel at 12:30 p.m. Friday. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
