Bouquet, Ida Mae Ida Mae Bouquet died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at her home in White Castle after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Bayou Pigeon and graduated from Plaquemine High School. After marriage she moved to White Castle, where she had resided for 36 years. She dedicated her life to what she valued and cherished most -- her family and friends. The smiles and laughter she shared with all until the end will remind us of her determination, kindness and love and will always be remembered in our hearts. Surviving are her mother, Mable Berthelot of Bayou Pigeon; husband, Gerald "Noonie" Bouquet of White Castle; daughters, Diana Bouquet and Marcia Bouquet, both of White Castle; sisters and brothers, Violet Blanchard of Pierre Part and Joseph Berthelot, James Berthelot, Lucy Berthelot and Allison Blank, all of Bayou Pigeon; many nieces and nephews; and granddogs, Corky, Chloe and Lucky. Visitation was at Ourso Funeral Home in White Castle on Friday, Dec. 10, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 11, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Religious service was at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in White Castle at noon Saturday. The family would like to thank everyone for their support through the years of Ida's battle with this dreadful disease. Memorial donations may be made to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, 4950 Essen Lane, Baton Rouge, LA 70809.

Please know that our hearts and prayers are with you at this time of such great loss. Please express our sympathy to all the family (from John, Jill, & Janet also). Ida's faith kept her strong through her long battle with her illness. We can't forget that sweet radiant smile..that special Ida smile, with her sweet voice and loving personality. May God Bless all of you with the strength to face this loss, while knowing that Ida is at peace now in Our Lord's arms. God Bless all of you.
