A retired employee of X-ray Pharmacy, she died at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Gonzales. She was 91 and a resident and native of Donaldsonville. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville, on Thursday, March 6, was from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Friday from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church, Donaldsonville, at 10 a.m. Friday. Survived by a daughter, Roberta Ann and husband Arthur Lemann III; two sons, Robert Acosta and longtime friend Jean Greene, of Melbourne, Fla., and Stephen Acosta and wife Mary Ann Hebert Acosta, Donaldsonville; daughter-in-law, Julie Blanchard Acosta, of Plattenville; and devoted caregiver, Felicia Success. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Robert Henry Landry and Camilla Dalferes Landry; husband, Joseph J. "Bronco" Acosta Jr.; son, Donald Neal Acosta; and three sisters, Camilla Landry, Gladys Landry Dill and Irma Landry Falcon.

My heart goes out to all of Aunt Roberta's children and grandchildren. Certainly had I known of her passing, I would have made it a point to attend the service and pay my respects to Aunt Roberta.

How often do we count our blessing? How blessed are you to have had your Mom in your lives as long as you. She was such a good person loved by many and will be missed by many. God has taken her to watch over and guide us along the way. You are in our prayers and thoughts.
