Thomas Acosta Obituary

Thomas J. Acosta, age 87, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2012 at Chateau D'ville Rehab and Retirement. He was a native Belle Rose and resident of Donaldsonville and a retired mechanic with Evan Hall Sugar House. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Alice Landry Acosta and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Walter Acosta and Elda Fernandez Acosta; four sisters, Agnes Wooley, Marie Morris, Elma Steed, and Theresa Munson; two brothers Elvan Acosta Sr. and Jessie Acosta. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Ourso Funeral Home of Donaldsonville from 9 AM until 10:45 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation on Wednesday at 11 AM at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in Donaldsonville. Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum.
