Margaret Roberts Obituary

A native of Sharpsburg, GA and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died on Friday, December 28, 2012. She was 88, and was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Lagniappe Service Club and numerous civic and social organizations. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, from 10:30 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Chris Andrews. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Mausoleum. She is survived by her daughters, Madaline R. and husband Scott Miller of Baton Rouge, and Margaret Ann Roberts. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Betty Yarbrough and Anne Sasseman, both of Atlanta, GA; a brother, Roderick McDonald of Duluth, GA; 3 grandchildren: David Murphy, Louis Ray Murphy and Melissa Miller; and 4 great-grandchildren: Zane Murphy, Jettin Murphy, Maverick Murphy and Haze Murphy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Roberts; and parents, Olga and Lelia Whitehead McDonald.
