A native of Tunica and resident of Zachary died Wednesday, Jan 2, 2013, at Lane Regional Medical Center. She was 92. Visitation will be at Miller and Daughter Mortuary, Monday, Jan. 7 from 5 p.m. until religious service at 7 p.m., conducted by Rev. Donald R. Turner, Sr. Dismissal Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Port Hudson National Cemetery. Survived by a granddaughter, Carla Ball; grandson, Joe Ball (Shirley); eight great grandchildren; eleven great great grandchildren; two godchildren, Mavis M. Muse and Anthony Stewart. Preceded in death by her husband, Walter Carney; daughter, Lillie Wright Ball; four sisters; a brother; parents, Mose and Julia Thompson; Arrangements by Miller and Daughter Mortuary.
