Louella Richardson-Reed, a retired school teacher, departed this life on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the home of her daughter, surrounded by family. She was 84 years old. She was a native of Erwinville and a resident of Baton Rouge. She was educated in the schools of Orleans Parish. She received a Bachelor's degree in Education from Southern University and was a retired Plaquemines Parish school teacher with twenty years of service. She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted daughter that she never had, Cynthia Russell; six sisters, Margie Sumpton, Audrey Johnson (Walter), Mildred Godfrey, Linda Smith (Rev. Royal Smith) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Dorothy Crockett and Tonya Green of Port Allen, LA; three brothers, Frank Richardson (Ella) and Thomas Richardson of Baton Rouge, LA; Izell Richardson of Port Allen, LA; an aunt, Leaola Paul, of Baton Rouge, LA; a niece, Cornell B. Morgan (George) of Florida; four grandchildren, Jasmine Russell, Crystal Russell, Kayden Bryant and Cameron Spears; and a loving cousin, Delores Belona (Ivy) all of Baton Rouge, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucy Bashful and Isiah Richardson; her husband, Theodore Reed; an uncle, Dr. Emmette Bashful, and the son-in-law she never had, Raymond Russell. The family extends special thanks to Dr. Laura Falcon, and the staff at the Baton Rouge Clinic. Visitation will be held at Halls Celebration Center from 9:00 a.m. until funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2013. Interment will follow at Southern Memorial Gardens.
