A native of Oscar, LA, he passed away on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013 at Pointe Coupee General Hospital in New Roads, at age 89. He is survived by wife, Pauline Jarreau; five daughters, Glenda Gwin (husband Jack), Faye Ruiz, Gail Porterpan, Kay Boyles, Jan Hope (husband Dan); two sons, Donald Jarreau (wife Judy), Danny Jarreau (wife Pearl); 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Jarreau; mother, Rosa Lee Jarreau; daughter, Linda Ballard; stepson, Tim Prine; sister, Amie Fitzgerald; brothers, Lawrence Jarreau, Floyd Jarreau. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. Visiting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lakeland, LA, on Monday, Sept. 16, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30.
