Gladys passed away at 1:30 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Ochsner Hospital in the Promise Wing. She was 91, a native of Gueydan and a resident of Addis. She was a homemaker and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She played Pokeno with her Addis ladies. Visiting will be at Wilbert Funeral Home in Plaquemine on Saturday, June 14, 2014 from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. with Mass of Christian at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Brusly at 1 p.m. celebrated by Rev. Matt Lorrain. Entombment to follow in church mausoleum. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Myron Anthony Co-meaux Sr., of Addis; a daughter, Wendy Comeaux Bourgoyne and husband Steve; two sons, Mackie Comeaux Jr. and wife Tootsie Hebert Comeaux, and Ricky Comeaux and wife Jenny Mott Comeaux; six sisters, Norma Cormier, Wanda LaPointe, Agnes Suire, Mary Saltzman, Nola Hebert and Lola Tullier; a brother, Andrew Suire; 7 grandchildren, Lori Richard, Shelly Vige', Angie Dearman, Steve "Bubba" Bour- goyne III, Erin Bourgoyne, Ricky Comeaux Jr. and Jason Comeaux; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, Oneize and Agnes Landry Suire; two sisters, Anna Maye James and Elmena James; five brothers, Freddie Suire, Douglas Suire, Henry Suire, Clifford Suire and Harris Suire. Pallbearers will be Tony Richard, Trevor Gras, Steve Bourgoyne III, John Richard, Carl Owen Hebert and Bryan Vige'. Please share sympathies and memories at www. wilbertservices.com.
