Harry L. Simon, age 87, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, June 13, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Verlin Louque Simon; 5 children: David Simon, Gregory Simon, Mark (Lori) Simon, Mona (Danny) Deslatte, and Sandra (Randy) Bossom; 7 grandchildren: Jenny S. (Boyd) Weber; Spencer Simon, and Kaitlyn Simon; Matthew (Amanda) Deslatte; Megan Deslatte; Kimberlyn Bossom, and Christine Bossom; and 3 great grandchildren: Brayden and Brynn Weber, and Colton Deslatte. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mathilde and Sidney Simon; Ferdinand Simon (brother); Mildred Sagona, and Ruby Part (sisters). He was a Kaiser Aluminum retiree. He loved to shop and eat Chinese food. Visitation will be on Monday, June 17, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, LA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery immediately following.
