Lois Laura Nickens Causey passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, in Gonzales, Louisiana, at the age of 91. She has gone on to be with the Lord and to be reunited with her beloved husband T.J. Lois was a devoted, loving wife and mother. She loved to cook for her family, talk to friends and relatives, go out to eat, read the newspaper, and vote on election days. She enjoyed watching The Young and The Restless and LSU football games. If she had a sly smile on her face, watch out because she loved to play pranks and tell jokes. Lois was a strong lady from a strong generation. She will be missed by family and friends. Lois was a resident of Prairieville and a graduate of Oak Grove High School. She is survived by three sons, Travis Causey, Jr. and daughter-in-law Karen; Randy Causey and daughter-in-law Salma; and Rickey Causey; a daughter, Maureen Ballotta and son-in-law Stephen; and one grandchild, Caitlin Ballotta. Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Travis Causey, Sr.; her parents, Seaborn and Francis Nickens; three sisters, Murle "Sis" McMorris, Ethel Mae Causey, and Velma Martin; and four brothers, Millard, Eustes, "Dan," and Vennie Nickens. Visitation will take place at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, Sunday, February 16, from 4 to 8 PM and Monday, February 17, from 8 to 11 AM. A funeral service conducted by the Reverend Warren Heck will be held at 11 AM at Ourso Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Prairieville. Pallbearers are Stephen Ballotta, Danny Ray McMorris, Roland Stevens, L.C. Causey, Charles Nickens, Keith Matherne, Greg Poirrier, and Kevin McLaughlin. Honorary pallbearers are Claude McMorris, Floyd Nickens, Martinez Buratt, Thomas Ramsey, Jr., and Donald Henry. Lois was the aunt of numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved very much. Lois was thankful to Shirley Ramsey for all of her loving care. Lois says "Good-bye and God Bless" to all of her friends at Ascension Oaks Nursing Home.

My Dearest Rickey,
I am so sorry that your mother has passed, I will miss her dearly. Every time I visited with your mother, she talked about how much she loved her baby boy (you). She was so thankful for all the love and care and the time you spent with her. She is with your father now. May God bless you and your family.
I Love You Ms Lois.
