A retired electrician. Born Dec. 17, 1930. Died Oct. 12, 2012 at the age of 81. A longtime resident of Dutchtown and a native of Watson, OK. Survived by his wife, Beverly Smith Collins, they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary; two daughters, two sons and their spouses: Roxanne and Blaine Berteau, Beverly and Randy Lee, Larry and Velvet Collins, Gordon and Tina Collins; eight grandchildren: Whitney Miller, Hope, Leann, Crystal, Kayla, Dale, Micah, Gordon Jr.; nine great-grandchildren; his two sisters: Betty Fletcher and Francis Beason and spouse Johnny, brother James Collins and spouse Eva; a special niece, Rhonda Starling; sister-in-law, Mary Collins, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Rosie Lee Webb and Cicero Collins; three brothers: Louis, Loyd and Clarence; and infant son, L.D., Jr. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and helping anyone in need. He also enjoyed working in his yard and was devoted to his family. Visiting at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30. Conducted by Deacon Eddie Martin.
